WINEMAKER’S NOTES

When my team came to me wanting to produce a Rosé, I was frankly quite easy to convince, as I simply love drinking Rosé in the spring and summer. If we were to do it however, I knew the fruit needed to be sourced, harvested, and vinified with the sole intention of becoming Rosé and not a byproduct of red winemaking like so many Rosés. The timing was perfect, as my Toil Estate Vineyard Manager, Stirling Fox, had recently introduced me to a fantastically situated site in the cooler McMinnville AVA.

I’m quite proud of our inaugural release. Made 100% from the 777 clone of Pinot Noir, it is bursting with fresh strawberries, roses, and hints of raspberry. Beautiful salmon in color. The palate is fresh and clean with perfectly balanced acidity, and just the slightest touch of sweetness for mid-palate. You’re going to love having this in the fridge this summer! | PRINT |
